Staples, Inc. has been honored with the Green Power Leadership Award distributed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Staples, Inc. has made massive efforts to encourage green energy and energy conservation throughout there many stores in the United States. Staples, Inc. was chosen out of twenty other green energy efficient businesses. These businesses were all recognized for their valiant efforts in protecting the earth’s environment and encouraging other businesses and communities to do the same. Greenhouse gas emission is reduced, therefore improving the earth’s atmosphere. In addition to that, the communities in which Staples stores’ are located have cleaner air quality. Citizens in the vicinity of these stores are more conscious about green energy. They are making an effort to help better their planet and educate others about protecting it as well. These people, businesses, and communities are making the world a safer, healthier place to live.
