Azerbaijan will export 7.8 billion cubic meters of gas to various destinations in 2010, Azerbaijan energy Minister Natik Aliyev said on Tuesday. Aliyev said 6.4 billion cubic meters of gas would be delivered to Turkey, 0.3 billion cubic meters of gas to Georgia, 1 billion cubic meters of gas to Russia and 0.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Iran.
The minister said Azerbaijan would produce 30 billion cubic meters of gas of gas in 2010. He added that 8 billion cubic meters of this volume would come from the Shah Deniz field. In 2009, Azerbaijan produced 23 billion cubic meters of gas, 5.4 billion cubic meters coming from Shah Deniz.
