World Oil Prices Begin Growing On U.S. Domestic Sales

The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was growing Thursday morning on news U.S. domestic sales were rising and crude stock reserves were falling.

The price of a July futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up $1.03 to $73.89 a barrel by 6:55 Moscow time. The price of a July futures contract for North Sea Brent blend has risen $1.06 to $74.81 in London.

Oil prices climbed the day before on investors' optimism that the world economic recovery was picking up speed. July WTI contracts were up 28 cents to $72.86 a barrel, while July Brent contracts were up $1.04 to $73.75.
